Cancer has touched almost every generation of my family. My grandmother fought breast cancer before I was born, and my Aunt Joan lost her life to thyroid cancer. Over the years, I watched my mother and other aunts, Joyce and Beverly, face breast cancer head-on. All of these amazing women did so with grace and varying levels of support.
When my own genetic testing revealed a positive ATM gene mutation, I chose to rewrite the narrative.
I took control of my health with a preventative hysterectomy, double mastectomy, and reconstruction.
Recovery revealed that cancer and prevention involve more than medical care -
they carry a quiet, heavy toll felt daily by patients and their support systems.
Navigating recovery showed me that cancer and prevention are so much more than managing doctor appointments and healing from surgery. The real toll is quiet, heavy, and felt every single day - not just by the person in the bed, but by the families and support systems holding them up through the uncertainty.
I founded Lineage of Hope to ensure no woman faces this journey unprepared or alone.
Our name reflects a family history marked by cancer but defined by resilience. It is a blend of my middle name, Hope,
with Lineage to promise comfort, dignity, and practical support to every woman fighting today.

A: Yes! Every single package sent by The Lineage of Hope is delivered at $0 cost to the recipient, including all shipping and handling charges.
Q: Who qualifies to receive a care package?
A: Any woman who has recently received a breast cancer diagnosis, is undergoing active treatment, recovering from surgery, or taking proactive high-risk preventive steps (e.g., positive for ATM, BRCA, or other genetic mutations).
Q: Can I request a box for someone else?
A: Absolutely! Family members, friends, or care team members can submit a request on behalf of a loved one.
Q: When will care packages ship?
A: We are currently raising funds for our initial launch wave of 50 care packages, which we want to have ready to ship no later than February 2027.
